These are the most common questions u hear in Indian maternity wards and hospitals. Seldom will u hear anyone enquire about the mother’s health and well-being. This is how it starts. A mother’s physical, emotional, mental and social well-being is taken for granted.
For a mother, baby is the most important person on the entire planet. She takes care of the child with all her heart and might. But with all the physical and emotional changes her body goes through, she is the person second in line to receive tender love and care. It is the responsibility of the husband and the family to hold her with utmost love and care.
So what the society needs is to hold the mother and the baby will be held. A well rested mother will be more patient with the baby. U cannot pour from an empty cup. Likewise a mother who is loved unconditionally is capable of spreading the same.
Next time u visit a newborn, ask for the mother first.
